Modbus / BACnet to JSON or XML Gateway
The PR-WS-100-101-102-103-113 is an embedded remote monitoring and control solution for Modbus / BACnet devices. This unit can connect with Modbus RTU / BACnet MSTP based field slave devices (on RS232 or RS485) and provide the data in JSON / XML format.
While PR-WS-100-101-102-103-113 gateway can read data from BACnet IP or Modbus TCP/IP based devices and publish this data in JSON / XML format.
Publishing/Reading data in JSON/XML format differs from project to project, hence it may need additional time, effort and cost.
It is possible to configure the any of the above unit as JSON / XML client thereby posting the data to a remote endpoint.
There is also another model which supports GSM/GPRS modem on board.

Basic information about JSON format:
JSON is ‘JavaScript Object Notion’.
This is Open file format which is use to store and exchange the data. JSON is very easy to understand by human and as well as it is very easy to parse JSON data for machines. It is derived from Javascript.
It is array format with pair of attributes and values. This format is supported by all major browsers. It is used as alternative of XML. As JSON is language independent we can use JSON data as input for any software program or API for further processing and analyzing.
