Our media converters enable changing of the physical layer for data transmission. For example, converting an RS232 signal to an RS485 signal or vice versa. Or, converting an RS485 single to an optical signal for transmission over a longer distance using Fiber optics cables. Following solutions are readily available with us
- Lon to FO : LonWorks to Fiber Optic converters enable transmission of LonWorks FTT10 signals to long distances using Fiber optics. We have peer to peer and multi drop type converters. These converter essentially act as modems converting the Lon signal to optics at one end and vice versa at the other end.
- CAN to FO : CAN bus to Fiber Optic converter enable transmission of CAN signals over longer distances using Fiber optics. We have peer to peer and multi drop type converters. These converter essentially act as modems converting the CAN signal to optics at one end and vice versa at the other end.
- RS485 to FO : RS485 to Fiber Optic converters enable transmission of RS485 signals to long distances using Fiber optics. We have peer to peer and multi drop type converters. These converter essentially act as modems converting the RS 485 signal to optics at one end and vice versa at the other end.
- RS232 to FO : RS232 to Fiber Optic converters enable transmission of RS232 signals to long distances using Fiber optics. We have peer to peer and multi drop type converters. These converter essentially act as modems converting the RS232 signal to optics at one end and vice versa at the other end.
- MBus Master : This device is a level converter between MBus and RS232 or RS485. It essentially changes the physical layer from Mbus to RS232 or RS485. Thus making it possible to monitor these devices from a computer using a USB to RS232/485 converter.
- RS485/RS485 Hub : This device has 4 downstream RS485 ports and 1 upstream RS485 port. Hence it is possible to connect up to 4 RS485 trunks (with up to 31 devices each) to a single RS485 master. This is especially useful in making a star topology RS485 network saving cabling.
- RS485/RS232 Hub : This device has 4 downstream RS485 ports and 1 upstream RS232 port. Hence it is possible to connect up to 4 RS485 trunks (with up to 31 devices each) to a single RS232 master. This is especially useful in making a star topology RS485 network saving cabling.
- RS485/RS232 converter : This is an industrial grade RS485/RS232 converter.
