Simplex Grinnell TFX Minerva to BACnet / Modbus  Gateway (FPC N54B-182) is highly powerful, superior, completely configurable and productive fire panel integration gateway for integrators to effortlessly interface devices to networks in commercial buildings and industrial plants.

FPC N54B-182 Gateway model supports Simplex Grinnell TFX Minerva, BACnet and Modbus protocols. It is a Bi-directional Converter that can be configured as a Passive Client on Simplex Grinnell TFX Minerva side and a Server/Client on BACnet / Modbus protocol interface.

When configured as a Simplex Grinnell TFX Minerva passive client, the gateway can read data from your Simplex Grinnell TFX fire panel and publish it as BACnet / Modbus data. Also, it can write commands sent from the BACnet / Modbus side to the Simplex Grinnell TFX Minerva fire panel.

When configured as a BACnet / Modbus client, the gateway can read data from your BACnet / Modbus devices and write it as Simplex Grinnell TFX type data. Also, it can write commands sent from the Simplex Grinnell TFX side to the BACnet / Modbus devices.

The gateway can be configured to behave as a server on BACnet / Modbus interfaces. This mode is useful when data exchange is required between a Simplex Grinnell TFX passive client (for eg. SCADA) and a BACnet / Modbus client
(for eg. a Building Management System).

The gateway can be configured to behave as a client on and BACnet / Modbus interfaces and passive client on Simplex Grinnell TFX.

  • This gateway allows to read and write the data up to 1,000 – 10,000 data points.
  • Physical Dimension of this gateway is 4×1.1×2.7 Inches (H x W x D) and it weighs up to 0.2 Kg.
  • This gateway supports 1 x RS-485 Port, 1 x RS-232 Port and 1 x Ethernet Port.

Scenario

  • On a site you have a TFX Fire Alarm System that can provide data output on Simplex Grinnell TFX.
  • The site has a building management system on BACnet /Modbus that needs the Alarm Status, Trouble, Event, etc from TFX Fire Alarm System.
  • Since the TFX Fire Alarm System provide data output on Simplex Grinnell TFX and the building management system understands BACnet / Modbus, a direct data exchange is not possible.
