LonWorks is an extremely popular and robust protocol used in Building Automation.

All our protocol gateways can be configured to transfer data in both directions. In other words, using our gateways any of the following are possible:

Configure our gateway to read/write data from other peer LonWorks devices and a server on the other protocol interface (like Modbus). In this mode your Modbus based SCADA/Control system can read/write data from the LonWorks devices via our gateway.

Configure our gateway to serve data to other peer LonWorks devices and as master/client on the other protocol interface (like Modbus). In this mode your LonWorks based control system will be able to monitor and control devices on the other protocol.

Configure our gateway to serve data on LonWorks and as a slave on the other protocol interface. This mode is for exchanging data between  an LonWorks and a non-LonWorks control system.

Configure our gateway to read/write data from other LonWorks devices and a master on the other protocol interface. This mode is useful for controlling a slave device on one protocol based on a sensor/data value on another protocol.

ProtoConvert gateways support LonWorks FT-T10 physical interface. Both implicit and explicit modes of addressing on LonWorks are supported. Hence the gateway can be integrated on the LonWorks network with or without any LonWorks network management tool.
